There is something about this drawing that I really like. It has some coziness to it that seems realistic. It's like " yeah time to relax but I also had a very stressful day" She looks so sleepy but also wants to stay awake to enjoy that drink. By the way, you did a wonderful job with the lighting!

GrumpyShrimp responds:

Pretty cool that you could get a tiny bit of story from it

Also thank you :]

This is extraordinarily smooth! I do like the flipnote version a lot but that's probably because I have a soft spot for that era. I see that this is over 100 frames, I wonder how many frames we see per second.

NothanyTPM responds:

Thank you! And no it's not 100 frames, it's 35 frames @ 24fps. I was just saying how I need to find ways to automate this when I eventually do 100+ frame long animations. Because copy/pasting and moving around 35 frames to make an animation strip in Inkscape was already tedious enough.

I also agree with you that the Flipnote version looks better. Mostly because I just hit the "convert to vector" button, and didn't really bother changing much. though, the goopy look does give it its own style, I was more interested to see if stuff like Inkscape or a web browser could handle a silky smooth 24fps animation like that. And it did, so expect more of these little animation experiments in the future!

The first picture with the tree isn't very impressive. It seems a bit flat because of the lack of branches but the sky on the other hand is somewhat nice. The clouds just look random and chaotic as clouds usually do. I like the drawing with the fence and streetlight much better even though that the bush see-throughness is a bit strange. But of course, the best of these is the animation one. It made me chuckle how the ball came for a second round just to hurt the stick figure one more time!

NothanyTPM responds:

I agree with you that the first one isn't all that good. It was basically just a quick & dirty drawing just to get a feel for how Colors! 3D worked. The night time one was a more serious drawing with a quick mental reference. Although, I still don't know how to properly draw bushes in Colors! 3D. It has this texture brush, but it's only good for making grass, and not tree leaves since it's always translucent. I'll think of something.

Glad you like my little animation! I liked making it too, and it got me back into the groove of using Flipnotes again. Haven't touched Flipnotes in around 5-10 years.

I really liked the fourth drawing. It had this sort of mood as if one of the bunnies was lost. I did not realize it was raining until I read your description about it so I looked closer and then I was able to see the very thin strokes for the rain. The fog was pretty good, everything is just so hard to see which makes since, it is rainy. I imagined that it was probably a swap or something similar, not only for its shape but also the color choice. It gives it a somewhat gloomy feel without being the typical blue. The city one was also interesting. I have experience drawing with colors! 3D so I could imagine how this could look like with its different layers and it's dept was vivid for me. though, I have to admit, the way it corrupted plus your follow up made for a very interesting concept. ''Holrad gets corrupted'' is probably my second favorite of these pieces! City night might have the most impressive shading of the bunch but I find that the other 2 have a greater charm to me.

NothanyTPM responds:

Thank you! The fourth one is also my favourite. The last few have more details in them, but gloomy look of the fourth one looks so nice. I tried to make the rain drops more visible in that one, but I didn't turn-up the opacity on the brush high enough while drawing them, so they're practically invisible unless you zoom-in. Oops

Also, these were a bit challenging to draw in Colors! DS. The DS original only has 1 layer, no eraser, and you can only undo once. The trade-off being that it saves in a higher quality PNG (Colors! 3D saves in jpeg), and if you're using an older DS you can get pressure sensitive brushes.

I've been using both Colors! DS and Colors! 3D, and I have a hard time deciding which is better. 3D has the better tools, while DS has the better image quality. They're both good drawing apps though.

Merry Christmas! I think it is amazing that you did this for so many people. I truly had no idea that I had such an impact on anyone, and your simple gesture has helped me see that what I do has an impact on some. Newgrounds is truly a wonderful place, when I got on today, I was not expecting any big news but reading all the nice things you said about others, and I has truly cheered me up a lot today. By the way I think that it is incredible that you tried to match your character's shading to the style of the others. It was enjoyable looking at the little differences on the different drawings, well done!

NothanyTPM responds:

Thank You, and Merry Christmas to you too!

I just love to spread the holiday joy whenever I can, and comments like yours make my day so much better.

Next year I plan on going one step beyond, and try to match my little bunny character into the style of the other artist.

Hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

Such a cute drawing! It's simple, it has an adorable expressions and it has animal friends on the side! I mainly think that a colorful ground with a stary sky in the background might have made this drawing even better. Just the stars makes the drawing seem a little empty but hey it's cute regardless. Oh by the way thanks for sharing the song! Now it will be in my head. Keep it up!!

Johnnysaurus04 responds:

Hey, thanks for the feedback! Yeah, backgrounds are an afterthought for me most of the time, so I could work on that. Glad to see you like the song too!

Hey those are rather cool. My first impression was that you made the clay ones but it seems that you just found them. I like your interpretation of them in drawing form. I think that with a spooky background those creatures can surely come to life!

Gribbus07 responds:

I did make those clay dudes a long time ago, and the drawing is a bit old as well. But I'm glad you liked them!

Good job on that expression and texture on the hair. There is not a lot I can say about this picture but the shading is quite decent.

BlueBoltXRD responds:

Ey man thanks anyways. I really appreciate it. Also thanks for the scout I really appreciate it!!!!

Well.. this plush is probably getting a job at a haunted house.

OatmealPecheneg responds:

Yeah, I see the Endless Pain through his eyes.

It is a very wonderful art piece. The sky is absolutely gorgeous, you didn't just add clouds and lights but you also managed to add some sort of rainbow reflection. It's so subtle but it's there! The Angel has a nice form but the issue comes with it's shading. By all means is not bad shading, it is pretty good but the colors that it has don't blend well with the background. It just kinda looks like it was just pasted there from another picture. I wouldn't say that ruins the drawing but it just makes it look a bit odd. However it could also be argued that's a good thing because the character is the main focus of the drawing so since it looks out of place the viewers' eyes will always be drawn to it. Either way, fabulous work, it almost looks like a classic painting! Your inspirations surely can be seen.

Petitechouette responds:

Thank you very much for your feedback!!

I would like to make an animated series, however I'm broke so it will mostly not have any voice acting but luckily I have an audio guy to help me bring my animations to life ! I'm open to criticism. Do not hold back your words.
