Watching this was almost like watching random music videos from long ago. It was fun and the animation was pretty smooth. It was so full of energy and I can only imagine how fun this was to make! Also that dance break looks familiar, I think I remember it being a trend in Instagram or something. If I remember correctly there was a site where you could draw your character and it would automatically make them dance like that? I think you could also draw in the particles, it was wild seeing that here. But anyways I really enjoyed the lyrics popping in while the lip syncing was also so on point! There is simply a lot to appreciate in this animation.

The art style is fantastic and there is simply so much emotion with the delivery of those lines! I am not sure what I was expecting when that worm grew out of his head like that, but I should have seen the gun coming. Maybe I thought it was going to ask where the rest of his house went lol

DuckDuck1ngton responds:

The rest of the house shall be a mystery until I strap up and actually plan out the construction of a house, seeing how that's a LOT MORE WORK than just drawing one room (Also, after writing this I just realized you meant the meat sack on Slank's head- oops!)

Sell guns, and if that don't work, sell more guns!

The atmosphere is pretty impressive. it is understandable how this took 2 weeks, I might have expected longer! The background is so detail, all of the broken glass, the folds on the broken-down cars, the way that the zombie moves. Not to mention that the actual characters are fully shaded too. Animation on its own take forever, add shading and lighting to it and insanity breaks loose. I am very surprised by how consistent you were able to keep her shadows; it looks very natural. This has a pretty good flow, but I will admit some pauses felt a little long but probably because I was expecting her to shoot at some point, so I kept anticipating something that was not going to happen. Honestly, great job!

your lip syncing in on point!

Thats one effective way to keep this hamster motivated lol

Very good texture work, character design and the animation was smoother than I expected. There isn't dialog but I think that the grunts are pretty fitting for these off creatures. the episodes are pretty short, typically I do enjoy longer story telling but there is nothing wrong with simple short stories.

CozyBoxStudio responds:

Thank you! This is our first self-produced web series, we appreciate the comment and the support a lot! In the future we'll probably "upgrade" Monsters' Tales with longer episodes, for the moment is more or less a demo-web series.
Thank you agaiin for the warm comment!

The Amazing World of Gumball is the perfect target for reanimation projects! The show already has so many different mediums as is after all. Which reminds me, how was the section at 2:39 animated? I wonder if it's fully 3d or some sort of mixed media. It just looked a bit odd to me at my first watch. I think I first thought that Richard was made of clay but it appears that it is simply the texture work. But any ways there were so many cool styles , I really enjoyed the ones that were pixel art animated and some that looked like a comic style! Human Anaise was such a jump scare but it was so well done too. There is just so much that I could say but at the end of the day, good job everyone, all of you worked hard. This was a fun watch.

MaximizedAnimation responds:

The scene at 2:39 was animated in CGI by Norville Carter

I love that even dumb people belong somewhere. Sometimes people think that dumb people are annoying and worthless but when looking into their hearts you can see something truly special. This animated short is just sweet, the dialog is like something that I have seen before, something real, sad , yet heartwarming and with a hint of hope.

I would like to make an animated series, however I'm broke so it will mostly not have any voice acting but luckily I have an audio guy to help me bring my animations to life ! I'm open to criticism. Do not hold back your words.
